Our whereBox Location appliance delivers localisation information to end user applications using industry standard IP protocols such as HTTP, REST, JSON, GeoJson and MQTT.
Clearly defined ontologies and the ability to access data as real-time streams, on demand or historically gives applications unprecedented flexibility for dealing with rich 3D location data including velocity (speed and direction) and device orientation.
The Omnisense JTLE makes use of all available measurements from devices. By combining inertial sensor data (INS) with time-of-arrival (TOA) of radio signals (UWB, chirp and others), GPS when available, time-of-flight (ToF), Bluetooth Smart (BLE) and other measurements the sophisticated Omnisense Joint Timing and Location Engine takes positioning to a new level of performance.
Low cost, easy to deploy
By exploiting the JTLE and Omnisense clustering algorithms positioning and tracking systems can be deployed more economically than conventional reader-based systems:
● Low cost - expensive readers or access points are eliminated and all devices, whether fixed or mobile, may be low cost wireless devices;

May 2018: Hybrid gateway, flexible operation
Omnisense adds scale and flexibility with the launch of a universal gateway device and multi-gateway operation providing connectivity between the Series 500 wireless mesh network and TCP/IP networks, enabling Omnisense localisation services to be quickly installed both locally and remotely from the whereBox.
May 2016 Omnisense becomes a Decawave partner
Following launch of the fully featured S524 high accuracy sensor incorporating UWB ToA positioning within the S500 system, Omnisense has become a Decawave partner (profile page).
Feb 2016: whereBox launched
Omnisense launches the whereBox location appliance at Embedded World 2016 in Nuremburg in conjunction with Nanotron swarm bee. The whereBox provides the Omnisense Joint Timing and Location Engine with database backend and full support for the Location API in a small form factor as a simple plug-and-play appliance device. The whereBox support both Omnisense S500 Cluster Location Devices and Nanotron swarm bee devices for positioning.

Dec 2015: Cooperation with Nanotron
Press release announcing cooperation between Omnisense and Nanotron to integrate Nanotron swarm bee devices into the Omnisense Localisation system. First solutions from the joint initiative will be presented at Embedded World 2016 in Nuremberg, Germany from February 23-25.
